Flu Prevention

Influenza is not a "bad cold." It is a serious illness.

The VNA& Hospice of Cooley Dickinson's Flu Prevention Program is conducted yearly with a licensed registered nurse who administers flu innoculations to area businesses and the general public for a small fee.  If an individual is covered by Medicare, there is no fee.  The VNA has had years of experience administering flu prevention clinics in various settings.

These clinics are for:

  • Anyone 65 years of age or older
  • Individuals with chronic medical conditions of the heart, lung or blood
  • Women who will be pregnant during the influenza season
  • Direct care health care workers
